Friend, you have come so far. I’m sorry for the struggle and pain and heartache you’ve had to overcome just to get to another day. There are many people in the world, there are many people in your life who will never have to understand what that feels like. Nonetheless, friend, you are here for another day. Embrace it. You can conquer this too.
The world is beautiful. There is good and light and beauty all around you. I’m not dumb. I know there is also pain and darkness and heartache. Friend, cling to the good and the beauty and the light. Keep shining, beautiful light.
Deep breath. With each inhale bring in peace. With each exhale let go of worry. Inhale calm. Exhale doubt. Inhale joy. Exhale pain. Let each breath release self-destruction into the floor. Be fortified by a new day. You are in control of today.
Friend, I’m glad you’re here. While pain and hurt are a normal part of life, remember that does not mean that you must resign yourself to them. There is good. There is light. There is love. You are here. This is good.
Deep breath. Slow, even breaths. Breathe in the strength and wisdom of those who came before you. Breathe out all of the pain and hurt. Breathe in power. Breathe out panic. Breathe in calm. You are loved.
Friend, you are valid. Your pains are valid. Your struggles are valid. Your goals are valid. So are those of people around you. We’re in this together. Listen to each other. Support each other, not just in successes. Support each other when it’s uncomfortable, when you don’t fully understand. Support isn’t about how it benefits you. Support is taking a step back from yourself to help someone else. It’s okay to let people in.
Deep breath. Deep calming breath. Let go of destructive behaviors. Let go of doubt. Let go of deprecation. Let go of hurt. Let go of pain. You are free. You are not your past. You are not your pain. You are new today. Start again, free.
Deep breath. Make a choice today. With each breath let go of hurt. Let go of pain. Let go of anger. Let go of resentment. Let go of all bad feelings. Some things are hard to release. That’s okay. It’s important to try. You are worth the effort.
Your pains do not define you. Your pains do not define you. You are the sum of all of your parts. Yes, the hurt, but also all of that beauty, all of that good. We all have pain, and yours is valid. It is, but it is not all that you are. You are so much more.
